A Springtime trip to New York (and a late night visit to the Hudson Hotel's futuristic bar) sparked the first flames of inspiration for Sarah Sheridan's new Hudson jewellery collection.
In presenting a striking, fresh collection with a message and style of openness, light, luxury and subtle decadence, Sarah has created a range of mature, beautifully crafted pieces that captures the ethos of contemporary, design-conscious living.
An open, softly squared frame is the key shape to the Hudson collection; a strong design which can be worn with a simple satin finish or flooded with small white diamonds. This central shape is carried through the collection by large rings, long swinging snake chain earrings, simple stark studs, lariat necklaces, and cufflinks.
The Hudson pendants suggest an out-sized version of the eye of a needle; long, slim and light, threaded with snake chain or leather thong. The cross pendants are another addition to this range; a traditional symbol reborn as a relaxed outline shape - perfect for today's open-minded free spirits. And keeping the faith of the precious element to the collection, the Hudson cross can also be set with diamonds.
The Hudson chunky chain necklaces and bracelets comprise a totally new link designed and made by Sarah. For men, a heavy link brought to life with a gentle twist, which gives the appearance of each link tumbling to the next as it moves with wear. The women's version takes on the soft square, which is central to the Hudson range to give a clean, linear look: a simple paperchain in metal.
The Hudson collection brings together the elements of unique, intelligent design and excellent standards, which has made Sarah Sheridan's work some of the most coveted and desirable jewellery in the contemporary design field.
